Unemployment Rate Falls to 9.7 Percent in January?

I recently saw an article in Reuters the past week that suggests that the economy is finally turning the corner. Employers unexpectedly cut 20,000 in January, but the unemployment rate surprisingly fell to a five-month low of 9.7 percent, suggesting some labor market improvement starting to take root.
